About us

Four musicians mobilized by the same passion meet in Pau (France) to initialize this new musical project, which embraces a repertoire of as well classic and milonguero tangos .
This quite new Argentino-French band, which approaches various styles of the golden age of the tango, is characterized by a subtle, rhythmic and energetic play.

Alicia Ferreyra

 

She is awarded a diploma by the "Conservatorio Luis Gianneo " of Mar del Plata (Argentina).
She played in various formations of Chamber music and played in "Carmina Burana" with the Symphony Orchestra of the city of Mar del Plata. In 2000 she studies piano and chamber music at ISA (Instituto Superior de Arte) of Havana (Cuba).

In 2006 she enters "Orquesta Escuela de tango Emilio Balcarce" (Buenos Aires) where she worked and was  directed by the maestroes Emilio Balcarce, Néstor Marconi, Raúl Garello, José Colángelo, Mauricio Marcelli and Víctor Lavallén.
She studies with the maestroes Luis Reales and Nicolás Ledesma, Harmony and Composition in the SADAIC with the maestro J.C Cirigliano. In 2009 she was allocated of a National  Grant for Study from the "Fondo Nacional de las Artes".

She cofounded " Dúo Ferreyra - Oliveros ", and we shall notice their performance with the maestro Rubén Juárez and during the " 4 ª Cumbre de las Américas ".
She was a member, among others groups, of the Sextet " De Rojo Carmesí ", of Orquesta Típica " La Otra Vereda ", the Sextet " Respiro ", "Sexteto Gato" and also cofounded a duet with the singer Virginia Klammer.
Alicia also developed an important work as teacher in Argentina, among the most important Schooldance, or in academies as the "Conservatorio Luis Gianneo" and the "Conservatorio Juan José Castro ".

From an early age, she began the study of the cello in Paris region with Sophie Faramin. When she moved in Pau, she maked a decisive discovery for her musical future: thanks to his teacher Bernard Salles, she never left then the double bass.
Her meetings, experiences, her musical past, confer her a particular sound , filled with diverse cultures where the esthetic barriers are without respite pushed away.
"Multipurpose" Contrebassite, she also played with : Paul Lay, Baptiste Techer, Sylvain Darrifourcq, Benjamin Dousteyssier, Alex Golino, Eddie Dhaini, Damien Poupart-Taussat, the OSSO, Poco Tango quartet, the BBCB....

She played in the Symphony orchestra of Landes managed by Brice Martin and continues to perform, in Jazz, beside Jacky Bérécochea and Eric Lecordier (" Just In Time Trio ").
She collaborated for several years with Daniel Brel, and today again within " Chez Ayacucho Ensemble ".
